    Monkey Garden Response

    Monkey Garden is about a “garden/junkyard” that was unoccupied. The thesis of the story is that these kids want to explore the monkey garden which is like their new junkyard. In the beginning of the story, its starts out with how the monkey left and moved to Kentucky. The monkey looks like it was most of the stories main character. This all takes place in the Monkey garden.
    In this short story, there is no main characters, but the main character could have been the monkey that left to Kentucky. There are also the foil, people who support the main character, but in this case, the foil people are the main character. There several that interact with the Monkey Garden. Also the setting is all in the Monkey Garden. The point of view of the one of the character says that in this place, everything went much more calmer since the departure of the monkey. Then describes the setting, “There beneath the roots of soggy flowers were the bones of murdered pirates and dinosaurs. The eye of a unicorn turned to coal.
    The plot is that in this place that they find amusing, they want to make it as if it was there playhouse, they could do whatever they want. One of the characters used his imagination to say that the Monkey Garden should have invented rules to stay, sit, etc. Also they could have a fun time their.The rising action is when the main character of the characters says that she doesn’t like what Sally does. Then she sees Sally behind and old blue pickup(it must be an old car), kissing boys. The main character felt angry inside.
    The falling action is when the three boys said to Sally that they want to be alone. That is when one of them said that they want a kiss in  exchange for the key she needs for something out of the topic. Then they told the main character, but then she ran away, this is right after the conflict. For the resolution of the main character is that she imagines herself somewhere and remembered a fact, that Indian priests can make their  heart stop beating. Then she concentrated and did it.
